Hajj 2025 Begins: Over 2 Million Muslims Gather in Makkah

“And proclaim the Hajj to the people...”
Surah Al-Hajj (22:27)

This year’s Hajj, beginning on 6th Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH (corresponding to 3 June 2025), has brought together more than 2 million Muslims in Makkah, Saudi Arabia — making it one of the largest international gatherings in the world.

From the first rites in Mina to the standing at Arafat and the stoning at Jamarat, pilgrims are retracing the sacred footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

🔹 Key Highlights of Hajj 2025:

  • Over 2.1 million registered pilgrims from 150+ countries

  • New digital tracking systems introduced for safety and logistics

  • Green Hajj Initiative reduces plastic and carbon usage

  • Multilingual support teams for better guidance

  • Enhanced medical and emergency services deployed at all key sites

🌍 Unity in Diversity:

The Hajj is a powerful symbol of Islamic unity — believers from every nation, race, and language dressed in simple white garments, standing shoulder to shoulder in prayer. It reminds the world that Islam unites hearts across borders and backgrounds.

🛐 Dua for the Ummah:

As pilgrims complete their rites, Muslims around the world are urged to make dua for the global ummah — for peace, healing, and guidance in these testing times.

May Allah accept the Hajj of all pilgrims and grant every Muslim the opportunity to perform it. Ameen.
